Ancient fortress on the shore of Lake Chebarkul
Not so long ago, on the shore of Lake Chebarkul, near the meteorite monument, an old wooden fortress grew up.
This is the first object of the future historical and ethnographic complex, which has already been included in the project of the tourist cluster of the Chelyabinsk Region "Sinegorye" and is very likely to receive support from the federal center.
The fortress was built by the Chebarkul Plywood Plant, an enterprise that can serve as a true example of social orientation
The fortress is made according to the surviving drawings and technology of the 18th century. Chapel, which is also located on the territory of the fortress January 6, Christmas Eve, with the blessing of Metropolitan of Chelyabinsk and Zlatoust Nicodemus, rector of the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord of Chebarkul Archpriest Dimitri Egorov performed the consecration of the chapel in honor of the Holy Blessed Prince Peter and Princess Fevronia of Murom. In the summer of 2016 here will open an excursion route. But already now honeymooners, interested residents and tourists from other regions of Russia come to the fortress for photo shoots.
